Wind Take Me

WIND TAKE ME WHERE YOU GO
places I don’t know
RIDE ME ON YOUR STREAM
with pelicans from the bluff I dream
LOFTY AND SUBLIME
fluid, transcending climb
WIND LET ME HEAR YOUR BREEZE
rustling through the trees
WHISPERING THROUGH AIR
an ecumenical prayer
SOUNDS SO DECEPTIVELY EARTH
metaphorically a rebirth
WIND SONGS TO NAMELESS AND KNOWN
the seeding of all is sown
UNDULATING IN A RANDOM BURST
seemingly unrehearsed
CALM, TAME SOOTHINGLY LIGHT
amorphous in its flight
WIND CARRY ME ON YOUR WINGS
suspended from celestial strings
HUSH FOLLOWS A GUSTY RUSH
the face a flush
ANY DIRECTION THE CURRENT CAN COME
rain and snow succumb
WIND CHIMES DELICATE MELODY
vibrating serendipity
BLOWING ACROSS THE OCEAN
stirring up flurries of motion
HOWLING SCOWLING SHIPS DIZZILY CAREEN
then silence and serene
WIND TAKE ME WHERE YOU GO
places I don’t know
RIDE ME ON YOUR STREAM
with pelicans from the bluff I dream
