Brief Overview
S. Heffner, Instructor
Currently
(and
subject to change) there are:
> Three
exams; each having both objective [m/c : t/f] and subjective
[essay]) formats.
> Each exam is
worth 75 points (60 / objective; 15 / subjective).
> The primary
‘testing’ material is generated from two textbooks, related web
assignments and several Media Presentations.
> Exams (and
quizzes) are administered within a timed environment.
> Three Quizzes;
each worth 25 points. (All three quizzes are ‘objective’
format). The 3 quizzes are linked to web based assignments.
> Three
Assignments specific to news events; 12 points each.
> Incentive Projects (Bonus); up to nine (optional)
assignments (including volunteer service opportunities) worth a total
possible of 59 points, this is a minimum, i.e., usually each term there will
be additional 'bonus point projects above and beyond the 59 for students who
participate in that project.
